Project Overview:
This fab volunteer-run non-profit arts collective needed help with website maintenance. We checked out their old site and volunteered our web design & development skills to create a new website. We think they (and groups like them) are important. Flywheel believes that art and information should be equally accessible and affordable to all people. We do too.
We wanted the new design to be hip and current, reflecting a current design-vibe, but accessible to all ages. Some cool elements: a rotating image banner showing images from past shows & events, Flash page titles (so we could use that cool grungy font). Upcoming additions to the site, including a CMS, audio player, photo gallery, are in the works.
The current site is a "soft-launch" with the new design and scaled-back content to help gather support for the Flywheel while they're fund-raising for their move to a bigger, better venue in Easthampton's historic Old Town Hall.
