Project:
New website
Technology / Deliverables:
Interface design, custom CMS
Project Overview:
C-SNAP had an outdated website that was very difficult to update, and confusing to navigate. They needed a new website, with a new look and structure, that non-technical staff could update easily. C-SNAP works to inform public policy decisions on children's nutrition and health, including the prevention of child hunger, so their website is an important information resource.
A new look, a redesign with well-planned website architecture and reorganization of content, focusing on usabilty and accessibility, resulted in a website that's easy to navigate and makes finding information much easier. And a custom CMS means it's easy for staff to make frequent updates.
Features of the new website include: site-wide search, custom CMS, "Tell-a-Friend" emailer, custom print styles. Custom print styles mean that a webpage can be printed with the design stripped out, showing just pertinent information and text content. This saves ink, paper, and puts the information into a readable, logical format on paper (perfect for distribution at meetings, for example).
